Cobus Prinsloo

<p>Cobus obtained a BA degree in Information Design in 1993, and later served between 2001 and 2005 as a part-time lecturer at the Department of Visual Arts of the University of Pretoria.&nbsp;As a full-time infographic designer and illustrator at Media24, he has special interests in history, the natural sciences, comics, computer generated imagery (CGI) and education media.&nbsp;<br><br></p><p>Cobus has been reading and writing comics since he can remember. The culmination of his various interests and skills gave birth to his educational graphic novel Time Gliders. It was involved in his first career highlight (albeit still primitive in comparison to its current form) – it was published&nbsp; in three of South Africa's leading family magazines –Huisgenoot, You and Drum. These are publications of Media24, South Africa's largest media group.</p><p>Other career highlights include being a finalist for&nbsp;infographic design for the Legends Awards of Media24 in&nbsp;2014&nbsp;and 2015, as well as&nbsp;for the national 2015 SB Sikuvile Awards.<br><br></p><p>With a fascination for CGI since the eighties and with this new medium becoming more available to the consumer market&nbsp;in the mid-90's, Cobus started to use 3D graphics for his comic artwork. His latest art style combines original 3D graphics with digital painting techniques.&nbsp;</p><p>Cobus lives in South Africa with his wife and two children. His vision is to publish more titles in future and make the writing and illustration of graphic novels a full-time career.</p>
