About the author

Robin Kirk

I’m the author of numerous books, short stories, essays, and poems. Righting Wrongs: 20 Human Rights Heroes around the World, a nonfiction book for kids, is available from Chicago Review Press. Book reviewer @hollymbryan hailed my young adult fantasy, The Bond Trilogy, as "an incredible adventure with amazing characters in an often cruel world... [the books tackle] big themes such as what it means to be human, to experience love (of all kinds), and to be truly free." The Bond (winner of the 2018 Foreward Bronze award) and The Hive Queen have new covers, interior design, and content. My short story, “Home,” is included in the September 2021 issue of Luna Station Quarterly. My poem, “Imperator Furiosa posts a status update,” is included in the 2017 Nasty Women Poets Anthology of Subversive Verse (Lost Horse Press). I've also published two non-fiction books. I teach human rights at Duke University.
