<p>Kelly Cheek has been closely following a creative muse for his entire life. Almost from infancy, he frequently had a pencil in his hand, drawing pictures or writing simple childish tales. In his teens, he began trying his hand at writing actual short stories.</p><p><br />
Having spent years honing his craft, he’s also a lover of history, and of the fact that he’s 1/16th Cherokee. (Yes, he has blond hair and blue eyes -- he’s also part Irish. He is particularly fascinated with how the past interacts with and influences the present.</p><p><br />
Kelly Cheek lives in Denver, Colorado, not far from where Isadora Byrnes settled, where he can often be found hunched over his computer, pouring his lifeblood into his next opus.</p>
