David Cleofas Avila is a YA romantasy and memoir writer whose work braids schizophrenia, art, and travel into stories about survival and chosen home.<br>His current projects include an epic, hopeful YA dragon quest and a concise schizophrenia memoir that moves through psych wards, music stages, painting studios, and years on the road.<br>His fiction leans into dragons, sea journeys, and found family, while his nonfiction centers disability, creativity, and neurodivergence.<br>When he’s not drafting new pages, David shares poetry, photography, and occasional political commentary on social media, exploring the edges of art, illness, and belonging in public.
