About the author

Heather Moran

<p>Heather Moran has worked in various settings with young people their families and the professionals around them over the past 40 years.&#160; She is a Consultant Child Clinical Psychologist working in the NHS in the UK but also an Educational Psychologist who practised in local authority services. She teaches on the Coventry Constructivist Centre&#8217;s Personal Construct Psychology foundation course, in occasional workshops and study days and on the Birmingham University doctoral educational psychology training course.</p><p>At the beginning of her professional career she worked in a&#160; residential special school. Those young people had social, emotional and mental health difficulties and she worked first as a residential social worker and then as a teacher. Heather and her husband have been specialist foster carers for young people with very difficult behaviour and have adopted four children. She has worked with individuals and groups therapeutically and with teams of staff.&#160; She has written a few papers about her therapeutic work and presented about PCP therapy and techniques at various conferences.
