Michael O. Borthwick has been an automotive mechanic for over 45 years, but what does that have to do with writing a book?
When COVID hit in late 2019, Mike was a very avid bicycle rider, averaging over 9000 km per year, with a few races in the mix. In December of 2019 he got sick, a sickness he couldn’t shake, and the term ‘long hauler’ was the description that was given to people with similar experiences. This affected his health is such a way that his biking days came to an abrupt end. Mike has a way with words and stories, so with physical limitations and time on his hands, Mike started to write out his walk with God as a way to help someone else going through some health issues, and this lead to writing a book. Mike is not a writer - who is until they try - but with the help of good editors, the finished product has been widely received as well worth reading. Mike’s life shows he was a man living on the edge, his book shows how God got ahold of him before he could fall off.
