<strong>John Stewart Wynne </strong>is an American author of fiction, as well as a Grammy-nominated producer of audio books. In addition to his short story collection <strong>THE OTHER WORLD </strong>(first published by City Lights and now Tree Line Books), he has written the novels <strong>THE RED SHOES </strong>(nominated for the Lambda Literary Award as Best Gay Fiction) and <strong>CRIME WAVE</strong>. His short fiction has been published in<strong> High Risk 2, Christopher Street,</strong> and John Calder's international <strong>New Writing and Writers</strong> series, among other publications. Wynne's poetry has been featured in <strong>The American Poetry Review </strong>and <strong>The Paris Review</strong>. Starting in 2023, Tree Line Books began publishing individual digital editions of various stories by Wynne as part of their Story Book Series: <em><strong>The Sighting </strong></em>(selected by Ian Young as a seminal work of gay fiction); <em><strong>Louise, Don't Go; </strong></em><strong><em>Narcissist; Blonds; A Night in the Pampas; The Needles Highway; Afternoon; </em></strong>and <strong><em>Halloween Card</em></strong>. In December 2025 Tree Line Books is bringing out a new collection of Wynne's short fiction titled <strong>CONSEQUENCES OF ATTRACTION </strong>as well as a reprint of <strong>THE RED SHOES</strong>.
