John Stewart Wynne

<strong>John Stewart Wynne </strong>is an American author of fiction, as well as a Grammy-nominated producer of audio books.&nbsp;In addition to his short story collection <strong>THE OTHER WORLD </strong>(first published by City Lights and now by Tree Line Books), he has written the novels <strong>THE RED SHOES </strong>(nominated for the Lambda Literary Award for Best Gay Fiction) and <strong>CRIME WAVE&nbsp;</strong>(published by John Calder). His short fiction has been published in<strong> High Risk 2, Christopher Street,</strong> and John Calder's international <strong>New Writing and Writers</strong> series, among other publications. Wynne's poetry has been featured in <strong>The American Poetry Review </strong>and <strong>The Paris Review</strong>. Starting in 2023, Tree Line Books began publishing individual digital editions of various stories by Wynne as part of their Story Book Series: <em><strong>The Sighting </strong></em>(selected by Ian Young as a seminal work of gay fiction);&nbsp;<em><strong>Louise, Don't Go;&nbsp;Narcissist; Blonds; A Night in the Pampas; The Needles Highway;</strong></em>&nbsp;​​​​​​​and&nbsp;<em><strong>Afternoon.&nbsp;</strong></em>In December 2025 Tree Line Books published a new collection of Wynne's short fiction titled&nbsp;<strong>CONSEQUENCES OF ATTRACTION</strong>, and in January 2026 they will publish a new reprint of <strong>THE RED SHOES</strong>​​​​​​​.
