Marcus was born in Brisbane, Australia in 1986 and lived in the south-east coast of New South Wales for most of his young life.<br>He published his first short story, “<em>A Spark of Youth”</em>, in Deadset Press’s <em>Beginnings</em> anthology in 2018. Since then, he has published stories in eight anthologies and participated with seven other authors in Deadset’s shared-world post-apocalyptic series, <em>Drowned Earth</em>, which included his novella <em>Tides of War</em>. He released his latest book, <em>Bright Skies, Long Shadows</em>, in 2023.<br>Marcus has a B Arts in Professional Writing and Publishing with Curtin University. By day, he works as a manager at a well-known bookstore.<br>Besides horror, Marcus is an avid gamer (both video and tabletop) and loves painting, learning languages, and playing guitar. He may be a little too obsessed with Cthulhu, <em>Silent Hill</em>, conspiracies and the occult, and the inevitable heat death of the universe.<br>He currently lives in Melbourne, Australia, with his two children.<br>
