Charlie Robinson

In 1992, as a student at the University of Southern California, Robinson had a front row seat to the infamous Rodney King riots in Los Angeles where the black community, clearly fed up with the double standard of justice, erupted into an inferno of anger, resentment, and revenge. It was obvious to him that the game was, in fact, rigged, and that the media was guilty of creating a version of the world that is much different from reality.

Robinson became involved in creating a business that counseled professional athletes on how to navigate through the media minefield, and avoid the traps that the media sets in order to create stories that they will later report on.

The idea for The Octopus of Global Control grew from Robinson's experiences in dealing with a very corrupted media, and in many ways has been brewing for well over a decade. The tipping point came in 2007 after reading John Perkins' classic book Confessions of an Economic Hitman while lying in the sun on a scuba diving boat in Phuket, Thailand.

After years of working in the hottest real estate market on the planet, Robinson witnessed, first-hand, the rampant mortgage fraud that fueled the red-hot housing market in Las Vegas, as well as the engineered collapse that brought down the house of cards, all while working for one of the largest home builders in the country.

After fighting against the corrupted media, after witnessing the fraud that the financial system is built on, and being fired for questioning his bosses direct order to break the law, Charlie Robinson finally came to understand that the system is broken, and his controversial book is the exploration of what went wrong, and how everything got so bad.

Charlie Robinson continues to work in the real estate industry in Las Vegas.
