<p>Vladimir Vasiliev is a former military man, an officer of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, who after retirement worked in large companies of Russian raw material monopolies. He served 13.5 years in Russian prisons and camps, where he learned a very different side of life in the country and society. From childhood he drew and wrote poetry. He considers the adaptation of classic fairy tales in poetic form, but with the use of slang and profanity, an effective way of denouncing social ills and involving the general public in the process of fighting them.</p>
