<p>About the Author</p><p>Megan Beller grew up studying classical violin and fiddling in a musical family. She has a degree in Violin Performance and Music Education from the Eastman School of Music. </p><p>Megan taught private lessons and group classes in Suzuki violin, traditional classical violin, fiddling, and improvisation at the Kanack School of Music and the Eastman Preparatory Department in Rochester, NY, and later ran a private studio in Baltimore, Maryland. </p><p>Megan fiddles at concerts and dances and has produced and performed fiddle on two albums of fiddle music for contra dances. </p><p>Megan’s students have played and excelled in youth orchestras and magnet arts schools in Rochester and Baltimore, attended conservatories including Oberlin Conservatory and the Berklee School of Music. Her former students serve on staff at summer camps including Ashokan and Pinewoods, and perform professionally all over the US.</p>
