About the author
Ryan Guffey
Ryan Guffey is an American writer who was born and raised in the farmlands of Central Illinois. Well, he wasn't born in the farmlands. He was born in a hospital, but you get the idea.

In his youth, he enjoyed a good laugh and being a bit on the "husky" side. His elementary school, the understated three-room brick building called Bethlehem Lutheran School, provided a springboard for Ryan's writing career. It is there that all twenty of the school's students were blessed to be able to read the weekly news publication that Ryan produced.

The publication featured a single page of various made-up news stories, written in #2 lead pencil and edited by no one. The publication even featured a three-framed comic strip showcasing the wild escapades of a plain-looking caterpillar that could run faster than the speed of light.

Fast forward to modern day; Ryan still enjoys writing humorous material as showcased in his debut novel The Stool: Building a Platform for Business Success Beyond Your Imagination, a silly spoof on business/self-help.

A lot of things happened in between the Bethlehem News and The Stool. It's a very long story, but it leads to Ryan living in the St. Louis, Missouri area with his wife, three children, and two cats. Ryan believes the rest of the details are best left for his biography - the one he intends to write himself, using a pen name.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys having spare time and wondering what ever happened to that plain-looking caterpillar.
