<p>Twice funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities for her scholarly work, Phyllis Weliver is Professor of English at Saint Louis University and Fellow of Gladstone's Library in Wales. She has published with Cambridge University Press, Palgrave Macmillan, and Routledge, among others; lectured internationally, including by invitation at the British Academy and Royal Academy of Music; and written and presented for the media, including BBC Radio 3’s “The Essay.” She is from Michigan and now lives in Missouri with her husband and son.</p>
