The author is a senior executive with over 33 years of experience. From 1994 to 1997, he supervised a portfolio of several hundred million euros at Kookmin Bank and managed the bank's relations with regulatory bodies. From 1997 to 2010, he held several senior positions at the European Central Bank, the United Nations, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and the European Union. From 2010 onwards, he worked as a consultant for the International Red Cross, Nestlé, Groupe Mutuel, the Canton of Valais and Services Industriels de Genève.
