<p>Kawira Koome is a Kenyan writer and author of speculative fiction based on the outskirts of Nairobi. Her fiction and non-fiction have appeared in <em>Brittle Paper</em> and <em>Kalahari Review</em>, among other publications.</p><p><strong>Muthomi</strong>, her debut novel, is the first in a series of resistance movement thrillers set in imagined African worlds. Her work explores themes of institutional power, surveillance, and resistance through a African dystopian narrative. </p><p>Koome's writing interrogates how surveillance state systems shape identity and agency, blending literary depth with genre storytelling.<br> </p>
