I began my writing career back in the early 1970's when I wrote for a small town newspaper called, The Quesnel Observer in Quesnel, B.C. I wrote feature stories and was a feature writer.<br><br>That started a career of writing for small newspapers throughout the Caribou area, Prince Rupert, the West Kootenays and even the Queen Charlotte Island newspaper.<br><br>When I moved for a period back in the late 1980's into Vancouver, I learned illustration and cartooning skills. That started me off for creating greeting cards and cartoons to magazines.<br><br>Then I wrote my first book while living in Salmo, B.C. - The Associated History of Salmo and Ymir. It was a serious history book about my area which allowed me to share my interest in history.<br><br>From there I delved into the world of e-books by writing books in the digital format for children. I wanted them to know about the joy of animals and so combined my love of them and a little fantasy to share my stories.<br>
