About the author

David Tripp

I was born and brought up in rural central Ontario. The oldest of three sons, to a blue collar working couple. I grew up in the times of bare feet, and river rafting. Swimming and haying. A simpler time, a simpler life.

From childhood, to young adulthood, I suffered from an extreme shyness. Now a days I guess it would be referred to as social anxiety. As you can probably imagine this not only limited my relationships, but also my degree of happiness. It also always had me questioning my own abilities. When I was younger I wrote poems, and songs, even short stories but never had the confidence to seek publication.

When I was younger I apprenticed as a cabinetmaker, evidently becoming a master craftsman, business manager, even business owner. With each step I had to work at overcoming my shyness. I have also, always had a thirst for knowledge, taking correspondence, as well as night courses in a variety of subjects. I have constantly worked at improving myself, and moving forward.

It's been a rough long round about road. I have overcome a lot in my life, and still have a ways to go. I have been a craftsman, poet, song writer. Have constant studied and learned. I am now ready to share what I have learned, and hopefully help others. May we all grow together.
