<p>From an early age, Elaine wanted to write stories. </p><p>Her first short story was published in her small town newspaper when she was in third grade.</p><p>Her first novel, <em>Roses for Chloe</em>, a Berkley-Jove Haunting Hearts release in 1998 was an RWA RITA Contest finalist. Her next three books were Harlequin Superromance® novels, one of which, <em>Make Believe Mom</em>, also went on to become a RITA finalist. In 2013, Elaine took a leap of faith into indie publishing with her romantic thriller <em>The Caverns</em>, the first book in the Tennessee Mountain Home series.</p><p>Now living in the Shenandoah Valley, Elaine enjoys her two sweet dogs and sipping a glass of wine while gazing at the Blue Ridge Mountains from her back porch.</p><p></p>
