<p>Dr Martin B Reed has spent his working life teaching mathematics at universities in some of the remotest corners of the world: Lesotho, Swaziland, Papua New Guinea, Uxbridge. He recently retired from the University of Bath, to spend more time with Hugh Hammond.</p>
<p>He was a student during the Summer of Love, and travelled extensively in Eastern Europe during the 1970’s.</p>
<p>In his spare time he enjoys skydiving, ski-jumping, Sumo wrestling and using his free bus pass.</p>
