<p>The grandson of a missionary from China to Malaya (now Malaysia), Sonny believed in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour at a young age. He was active in evangelism when he was in high school. While pursuing his career in the insurance industry, where he rose to be the CEO of a general insurance company in Malaysia, he was also actively involved in teaching, preaching and church planting. Sonny is married to Shirley. They have three daughters and a son. All their children are serving God in their respective churches.</p>
