<p>Shannon Barnsley is a writer, balladeer, and folklore devotee from New England, currently living in Brooklyn. She holds a degree in Creative Writing/Mythology & Religion from Hampshire College. Since then, she has kept busy working as an editor, transcriptionist, and historical interpreter, as well as surviving two strokes and an unruly gaggle of chronic illnesses. When not writing or maintaining homeostasis, Shannon can be found wandering the woods, dancing in the kitchen, tending to the Yeastlings (her sourdough starter), and trying to be the 9th century illuminated letterer she wishes to see in the world.</p>
