GENE TWARONITE is a poet, writer, and author of twelve books. Early in his career, he <br>wrote humorous stories for children, some of which were published by <em>Highlights for</em><br><em>Children</em> and other magazines. He has always been fascinated by the way fables can weave<br>together truth, wonder, and absurdity in a form appealing to all ages. The Family That Wasn't <br>is his first fable. In addition to a fable, Gene has published the young adult novel, My Vacation <br>in Hell, as well as collections of essays and short stories. Gene's four poetry collections were <br>published by Kelsay Books (https://kelsaybooks.com/). He lives in Tucson.<br>
