<p>Iris Baijing Hubbard was adopted from Guangzhou, China when she was about 16 months old. This book was initially written as part of her capstone project for the honors program at Western Washington University. She will be graduating with her bachelor's degree in environmental studies and a teaching certificate in the spring of 2019. She is currently working on a novella for older readers and hopes to publish it in the upcoming year. In her free time, Iris enjoys swimming, baking and traveling. </p>
