I have lived in Alabama, US all my life and am a country girl through and through. I have a small farm with my husband of twenty years and our four kids, two sons, and two daughters.

Growing up, I struggled to learn to read because of a learning disorder called dyslexia. It is something that affects much of my family and my father never learned to read at all. But I try not to look at dyslexia as a learning disorder, instead of as a different way to learn. It’s hard to keep that belief sometimes being a writer now and having to face the handicap of sentence structures, but I have a great team of editors and authors that help me. Because of them, I intend to write many more novels in the future, and I am proud to say, with each one, I see myself improving.
