About the author

Inessa Sage

I wrote my first book when I was only twelve years old, and it was terrible. The plot was light; the conflict had no climax, and my main character fell flat.

Why am I telling you this story?

Because while that book never saw the light of day—though it did see the shadow of a memory box in my mother's closet—it taught me the most important lesson on writing. It taught me that a good book requires a sprinkle of patience.

I have loved creative writing for most of my life. So much so that I have decided to pursue it as a career; a choice I will never come to regret. Since starting my journey as an author, I have published 16 books (and counting!), one of which has become an award winner in 2022.

My passion for writing, combined with my passion to help others, is what led me to become a book coach and editor. As a certified technical writer, I have an eye for detail that aids in manuscript development. On a personal level, I am a planning and productivity aficionado; a skill-set that is quite valuable when it comes to staying motivated and keeping on track.

When I first started writing, I was bombarded with self-doubt, lack of story structure knowledge, and a general sense of overwhelm that prevented me from writing. It wasn't until I sat down with a productivity expert and designed a schedule that worked for me that I was able to complete a manuscript. Now, I help other authors overcome this problem as well.
