<p>Mary is the author of 120 published books, mainly for teenagers and children, but with some adult titles. She specialises in historical fiction and in books set in Italy, like her YA <em>Stravaganza</em> fantasy sequence. Her most famous picture book for children is <em>Amazing Grace</em> and her best-selling information books series with Ros Asquith begins with <em>The Great Big Book of Families</em>.</p>
