Born in Chicago, Niki Mitchell moved to Whittier, California, as a first grader. Ironically, for most of her career she taught first grade students in Hesperia, California. Her cats are the inspiration for her Kurious Katz children’s book series.<br> A romantic at heart, Niki enjoys writing contemporary fantasy and time travel romance with strong females in unusual settings. Her hobbies are traveling, water aerobics, and reading.
