Hi, I’m Danielle D. Drummond, a fantasy author based in Perth, Australia. I have been spinning tales for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I always had my head in a book, and loved getting lost in dark fantastical worlds and poetic words. Some of my favourite authors are: Mary Shelley, Jane Austin, Anne Rice, Bram Stoker, Robert Louis Stevenson, Edgar Allan Poe, The Brother's Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson, Emily Bronte, Lord Byron and Steven King. I wrote my first storybook, about an injured penguin, at around ten years old and has been crafting short paranormal stories and poetry ever since. Now I write dark fantasy novels infused with romance—okay, a lot of romance—because I’m a sucker for a happily ever after.
When I’m not conjuring stories about women overcoming trauma and finding their strength, you can find me penning my thoughts for poetry, at work disguised as my corporate alter ego, or spending time with my two dogs.
