I'm a filmmaker and photographer based in New York City. I've been a contributor to the New York Times since 2011, and my stories, pictures, short films, and audio pieces have been published worldwide.<br>At heart, I'm a storyteller. My previous professional experiences include guitar teacher, musician, interpreter, and producer/director of radio plays and short films. If my life can be lumped into a category, I’ve failed. Growing up, I lived on four continents.<br>My work speaks to those who reject labels, are fearless about starting from square one, and dedicate their lives to empowering and inspiring others to become storytellers.<br>
