Marla-Marie Dean started writing as a challenge to herself for a NaNoWriMo project. She brings personal experience as a former professional dominatrix to her novels and adds a twist of fiction to keep it interesting. She lives in Western Washington with her husband and four children. Her published works include <em>Behind Closed Doors </em>and <em>Black, Blue, and Purple Pain: A Domestic Violence Awareness Anthology.</em> <em>Melinda </em>will be her third work. Marla-Marie also loves volunteering in her community, painting, photographing nature, and hiking through the vast forests in Washington.
