R.J. Travis

R.J. Travis is your average neighborhood Case Worker, living in northeast Wisconsin. For over a decade, she made her way through various county positions, finding Youth Justice to be one of her favorites. Gaining knowledge at each stop, R.J. began to see a pattern. After obtaining her Bachelor of Organizational Leadership on an hour of sleep, R.J. found herself within the midst of Child Welfare. The pattern being more prevalent than ever, R.J. decided it was time to publish her first book while obtaining her Master of Social Work.

R.J. is growing up with her three kids and two cats. They love… not much; two are teens. She’s writing this ‘about’ after begging her kids to go to the ice-skating rink for “family activity” roughly 4 hours prior. R.J. is also your average mom who takes eye rolls as currency. All jokes aside, R.J. and her family love to spend time fishing, playing outside, and watching movies! Annually, R.J. tries to get her kids to play boardgames and is often successful when they go up north where the internet is at its weakest.

Besides parenting, R.J.’s passion is teaching through motivational speaking. R.J. had organized breakout sessions at various Children’s conferences in the state of Wisconsin, a National Conference in California and published her first book “Unconditional Case Management” in 2024.
