<p>My maiden name was Sharon Brown.  I used Maggie in this story, because my father had wanted to give me the name, "Margaret."  </p><p>My mother refused and wanted to name me after the flower, "Rose of Sharon."  In fact, she planted this rose bush near the front porch. The bush would attract hummingbirds.</p><p>Thanks to the Veteran's Administration, I was able to go to college and become a grade school teacher.</p>
