<p>Flinty Maguire grew up by the coast and the sound of seagulls tap dancing on the roof kept her awake. She understood the tides and would head into the sea with a small surf board, unsupervised, and battle with the waves until her teeth chattered. <br />

After working in the media and living inland, Flinty returned to the coast. She lives with her husband, two dogs and rescue chickens. She still loves the cry of seagulls. </p>
