C. L. (Cyndi) Pauwels brings an authenticity to her crime novels thanks to working in criminal justice for over 10 years. Her short fiction has appeared in numerous print and online outlets. In addition to the first two novels in her “Toledo Trilogy,” Forty & Out (2014) and Burned Bridges (2018), she has also published the award-winning non-fiction Historic Warren County: An Illustrated History (2008) and several anthologized personal essays.
