<p>Marko Hansen is a native Tucsonan who spent a dozen years in California and Oregon before traveling extensively throughout Australia and Asia. As a University of Arizona student, he got his first taste of professional theatre as he was cast as Pablo Gonzalez in the 1983 Arizona Theatre Company production of "A Streetcar Named Desire." He later appeared in two game shows including Bob Eubanks' "Infatuation." He performed multi-character one-man plays at both the 2000 Melbourne Fringe Festival and the 2002 Adelaide Fringe Festival. Marko has always enjoyed challenging fitness quests such as a 49-mile Grand Canyon rim-to-rim-to-rim hike in 24 hours, boxing in the 1987 Diamondback Invitational Tournament, running in the 1989 LA Marathon, jogging the 50 miles from Redington to Benson in under 12 hours. He is a strict vegan who occasionally blogs on the repercussions of unlabeled GMOs pervading our food supply. Even though he got married in 2008 on his 50th birthday, he was actually 49 at the time of his wedding because of the 15-hour time difference between Tucson and Kaifeng China. He was granted his second US utility patent in December 2023, over 29 years after his first patent, also for a dual-flywheel, vertically-disposed, stationary climbing bike. Currently, he is the owner/innkeeper of the Green Satori Inn, just 20 minutes south of Ithaca NY, in the Finger Lakes region of NY, with his wife, and 10 cats.</p>
