<p>M.J.Petrin was born in Maine and grew up in Miami.  He currently lives with his wife near Baltimore, Maryland a city that provides him with constant inspiration.</p><p>Through many moves and many adventures, he has cultivated his particular style of writing over the years. When <strong>he’s</strong> not <strong>working to pay his bills</strong>, he’s taking photos, creating art and listening to music. </p><p>Although his first novel, The Affliction, is considered science fiction, the characters are exposed to the realities of everyday American life.  He hopes that after people read his debut novel, The Affliction, intelligent and empathetic dialogue about racism will result. </p>
