Mandrake Pan

<strong>AUTHOR, ARCANOLOGIST, &amp; MAN-ABOUT-TOWN</strong>.<br><br><strong>Mandrake Pan</strong> was born fully bearded on the back of a cabbage barrow on Christmas Day, 1855.<br><br>His parents, <strong>Cressida Potts &amp; Pluto Pan</strong>, were the renowned music hall artistes <strong>Potts &amp; Pan</strong>, introducing the young <strong>Mandrake </strong>to an exciting world of bright lights &amp; larger than life characters.<br><br>However, the stage wasn't for him, &amp; after a small stint as a toffee taster at <strong>Nanny Willoughby's Naughty Treats</strong>, he took a job as an ink runner for the now defunct <strong>Winchell's Guide to Ghosts &amp; Goblins</strong>.<br><br>He quickly progressed, moving out of the ink room the following year until, by 1875, <strong>Mandrake </strong>decided to strike out on his own, founding the modest publication, <strong><em>Eldritch Monthly</em></strong>.<br><br>Since that day, the periodical has gone from strength to strength, soon establishing itself as London's foremost publication for the <strong>Strange &amp; Unusual</strong> with especial interest in the investigations &amp; adventures of<strong> Wilfred Woolfitt</strong>!<br>
