Kimmy Beach

<p>Kimmy Beach roller discoed her way through the early eighties, and spent her twentieth year getting into various kinds of trouble on the south coast of Crete. She was a production stage manager for a decade and ran all the big musicals from <em>Oliver!</em> to <em>Godspell</em>.</p><p> </p><p>Kimmy is the author of six previous books. Her writing has been shortlisted for multiple awards including the Georges Bugnet Award for Fiction, the Tracking a Serial Poet Award, the ReLit Prize, and the Readers' Choice Award. </p><p> </p><p>She is a professional editor, and books she has worked on have won or been shortlisted for national and international awards including the Giller Prize, the Governor General's Literary Awards, the Nelson Ball Prize, the Griffin Poetry Prize, the Writers' Guild of Alberta Literary Awards, The City of Calgary W.O Mitchell Prize, the City of Edmonton Robert Kroetsch Award, the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild Literary Awards, the Manitoba Writers' Guild Awards, the Bridges of Struga International Poetry Award, amd several others. </p><p> </p><p>Kimmy lives, writes, edits, and mentors from Red Deer, where she lives with Stu, her husband of forty years, and a herd of deer determined to decimate her garden each year.</p>
