Paul Clark was born in the Forest of Dean in south-west England and grew up in Coventry and Manchester. He graduated in modern history and became a teacher of English as a foreign language.<br>He has lived in Italy and Thailand and has worked with people from more than 70 countries.<br>He lives with his wife in Sussex. They have two grown-up children. This is his first novel.<br>
