<p>Kendall Brooks is an American author living in the Scottish West Highlands, where she spends an unreasonable amount of time changing out of wet socks. She writes historical fiction with a focus on the Viking Age, Anglo-Saxon England, and romantic historical sagas that weave together adventure, political intrigue, and forbidden love.</p><p>Kendall began her writing journey with the DAMN (Dramatists and Actors Meeting Now) Writers Collective in Seattle during the 1990s. Several of her short ensemble sketches were performed at the Seattle Fringe Festival, proving that sometimes being the weird girl can take you places.</p><p>Fascinated by the bloody, messy, and often overlooked history of her adopted homeland, Kendall delights in blending historical truth with richly imagined characters and settings, bringing the Viking Age and Anglo-Saxon England vividly to life.</p>
