<p>Born in Limerick, Ireland, Laurie Fitzpatrick obtained degrees in sociology and law, and practised law for several years before switching to full-time fiction writing. Fitzpatrick now lives in Queenstown and Oamaru, New Zealand, together with partner and fellow-author Roy G. Michaels.</p>
