Tony Hayman

<p>Tony is British but has spent the best part&#160;of his life overseas (mainly in the tropics) mostly teaching English at secondary and tertiary level. He has been Head of English in four schools and has been Chief English Examiner.</p><p>He has worked in Europe, North America, Africa, the Pacific &amp; Asia &amp; has travelled overland to India via Iran, Afghanistan &amp; Pakistan. He was a founder member of the Seychelles Children&#8217;s Society which ran camps &amp; courses for underprivileged children as well as providing direct assistance &amp; education to families &amp; advice to Government. He organised netball for girls &amp; women at both national &amp; international levels (including national team tours to Kenya &amp; Sri Lanka). He redesigned &amp; implemented English oral exams in Vanuatu as Chief English Examiner &amp; he created Quality Assurance guidelines for a university in Malaysia. He was involved in a public/private initiative to improve English teaching in Malaysian Chinese medium schools. He also advised the Malaysian Ministry of Education on a Primary Level project to enhance the teaching of early years English.</p><p>He has experience in radio &amp; television broadcasting, filming (including programmes for the History Channel) &amp; organisation of cultural &amp; sporting activities at international level. He has considerable experience of acting &amp; directing.</p><p>As lead consultant, he advised on the setting up of a UK university campus in Putrajaya, Malaysia. He prepared &amp; presented the proposal directly to major universities in the UK &amp; to the UK Government resulting in Heriot-Watt University from Scotland establishing a campus there in 2014.</p><p>Nowadays, he teaches English to students online &amp; writes extensively. He is currently revising a book on heart health &amp; is half way through another teen novel.</p><p>Tony is married to a Malaysian who has been an international Agricultural &amp; Environmental consultant (with ADB, World Bank, UN, EU &amp; DANCED) &amp; they have two daughters &amp; two grandchildren.</p><p>Whenever he can, he enjoys swimming, working in the garden, reading, travelling &amp; making marmalade. He loves writing &amp;&#160;hopes to write many more books.</p><p/><p/>
