Linda Thompson

<p>Linda Thompson was born in Washington, D. C. and grew up in the Maryland suburbs.&nbsp;&nbsp; Growing up near the Nation&rsquo;s Capital and in the heart of the original thirteen colonies, she has a passion for all things historical.&nbsp;&nbsp; Her first love, at the age of five, was ballet.&nbsp; For the next thirteen plus years, she ate, slept, and breathed dance classes.&nbsp; Being raised on the East Coast, Linda loves the ocean!&nbsp; To her, there is no more soothing sound in the world than the kiss of the surf as it reaches the sand.&nbsp;</p><p></p><p>Linda became an avid reader riding the bus to junior high&mdash;15 miles each way.&nbsp;&nbsp; Her love of all things Regency began during that time when she read her first Regency novel, The Scapegrace, by Sylvia Thorpe.&nbsp; At fourteen Linda was introduced to Gone with the Wind and Pride and Prejudice, which quickly became her favorite books.&nbsp; Linda reads historical novels, mysteries, and biographies almost exclusively.&nbsp; It takes an extremely talented author or a really good modern JAFF plot to bring Linda&rsquo;s reading out of the past.</p><p></p><p>When not engrossed in a good book, Linda loves to bake, cook, and scrapbook, though writing JAFF stories is rapidly moving to the top of the list.&nbsp; Her guilty pleasure is buying bunches of tulips for her table when they are in season.</p><p></p><p>Linda currently makes her home in Denton, Texas.&nbsp; She has been married to her wonderful husband, Jim, for 27 years, and has had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom for her three children, Andrew, Megan, and Katie.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p></p><p>It was thoughts of returning to work or finding another source of income to help pay for her children&rsquo;s college educations that encouraged Linda to begin writing.&nbsp; &ldquo;Writing is a dream come true!&rdquo;</p><p></p>
