Add an Hello! My name is Carmella Alexander, and I am a first-time children's book Author. I was inspired by my special needs son Amir to start writing. I've always enjoyed writing as a child, but the interest died out. After becoming a parent of a disabled child life changed. I felt that I needed to become more vocal about my son and an advocate for him. I often thought about how we needed more positive representation of disabled children! My dream is for my books to later become a series that continues to show other children that are inflicted with any illness that they can be strong despite limitations!
