Cliff Hamrick is an author of fiction and non-fiction. His storytelling journey began when he was nine years old and started playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends. He was too young to understand the rules, but the seed of telling exciting stories was planted.<br><br>He began writing his own fiction as a way to tell stories in the genres that he loves to read: fantasy, horror, and weird fiction. His biggest influences are the pulp writers of old: Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Rice Burroughs, and Robert W. Chambers.<br><br>His non-fiction is related to his career as a mental health counselor. Not only does he have a Masters of Arts in Counseling, but also a Masters of Science in Biology. His first career was in biology where he taught at Baylor University as well as working on various textbooks.
