Anna Kahill is a writer, trauma survivor, and neurodivergent mother from Northern Ireland. A trained pharmacist and late-diagnosed autistic woman, she brings both lived and professional insight to her debut memoir Not the Perfect Victim. The book traces the long shadow of unreported and unacknowledged rape, and the many missed opportunities—by professionals, systems, and herself—to recognise it, name it, and diagnose the resulting PTSD. With unflinching honesty, Anna explores the complex intersections of trauma, neurodivergence, and justice. She confronts the failures of the criminal justice system firsthand, including the experience of reporting a non-recent rape to the Police Service of Northern Ireland. Through therapy, analysis, and truth-telling, she reclaims the narrative of her life.
