About the author
C. Spencer-Christensen

Claire has a teaching/social work background, participating in school chaplaincy programmes before undertaking several 'frontline' positions within the public service. That experience brought her face to face with the turmoil and harshness of people's lives and the choices they make to survive in a sometimes heartless environment. The characters and contemporary realism of her novels brings to the fore the significant impact an individual believer can have on a family or a community when led by the 'still small voice' within.

'More Than Sparrows' is Claire's debut novel, the first of three in the series 'White unto Harvest.'

She lives in Australia and is married to Trevor and they have five grown children, their eldest daughter living in America. Claire lists family time, fellowshipping with believing friends, photography and bird-watching as favourite pastimes. However, reading in her leafy back garden, suitably sustained by regular cups of coffee and a steady supply of chocolate-coated scorched almonds stands in a class all on its own. She enjoys historical, Victorian and contemporary fiction novels, with Pride and Prejudice, Exodus, The Source, Anne of Green Gables, Little Women, My Friend Flicka and Black Beauty all continuing to rate highly. Loves sunflowers and the smell of fresh cut grass, rain falling on dry ground and the sound of magpies heralding the dawning of a new day.
