I had a Soviet childhood with ugly electronics, stop motion animations, and translated sci-fi bits in the local magazines. I was always drawn to fictional worlds featuring fantastic technologies and space, but also loved to delve into the many realities of human folktales. I spent all the summers of my late teens and early twenties on archaeological digs.
