<p>Born in Western Australia, Mike Coppin spent five years living in Java. Among other things, he has worked as a welfare worker, researcher and teacher. His interests include reading (novels, history, anything about Indonesia), writing (creative and expository) and music (classical, jazz, 1930s & 40s music).</p>
