K. V. Johansen is the author of the five-book epic fantasy series <em>Gods of the Caravan Road</em>, beginning with the Sunburst-shortlisted <em>Blackdog</em>, as well as a number of books for children and teens and two works on the history of children’s fantasy literature. She has an M.A. from the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto and is a member of the SFWA and the Writers’ Union of Canada. Various of her books have been translated into French, Macedonian, and Danish. As Kris Jamison, she is the author of the novel <em>Love/Rock/Compost</em>.
